Festival Lures Foodies to Try Fabulous Treats
ABERGAVENNY Food Festival attracted thousands of "foodies" to the picturesque town at the weekend, using an alluring mix of international cuisine with a tantalising Welsh twist.
The event - now in its seventh year - is getting food lovers all over the UK and beyond talking about quality Welsh produce and the mouth-watering dishes that can be created with it.
Anthony Bourdain, Gonzo food writer and rock 'n' roll chef, who is an executive chef at Brasserie Les Halles, New York, was in conversation with critic AA Gill in an amusing sell-out event that was a festival highlight.
Meanwhile in the Courtyard there was a festival first, The Fish Market, that featured some of the fantastic produce that the Welsh coast has to offer, as well as seafood preparation and cookery demonstrations.
Matt Tebbutt, chef proprietor at one of Wales' most exciting new restaurants, The Foxhunter, created really wild food prepared from produce reared and grown on Gwent Wildlife Trust Land.
